Anywhere but Earth was blasted well into orbit yesterday at the Speculative Fiction Writers’ Festival at NSW Writers’ Centre. AbE authors Richard Harland, Alan Baxter and Margo Lanagan wowed the crowds with extracts from their stories, before some serious book buying. Editing and publishing a book is kind of like climbing a mountain: one step at a time and keep your eyes on the summit. Well that peak is so close we can almost touch it. And the view is particularly lovely.
