After a slight technical hitch, we’re back. Our website went down, but we pushed the red shiny button and – well – it’s up again. We’ve just completed the structural edits, and authors are working through our comments and providing redrafted material. Next up will be a copy edit then layout and final proofing. Coming in late 2011, 29 original stories of humanity’s adventures out there, anywhere but Earth. A twelve month reading period where we’ve received and read over 300 submissions from all over the world, but the dust is finally settling and we’re almost finalised our decisions. For statisticians among you the selection rate for stories submitted was a smidge under 9%, which is pretty normal [...] It’s just over a month to the close of submissions for our new science fiction anthology Anywhere But Earth, so to celebrate we’re revealing the first cover mockup to an anxious public, and we think it looks pretty cool. No doubt there will be tweaks and changes before final print, but the main elements are in [...] We’re in the long straight in terms of reading for Anywhere But Earth and the submissions are coming in thick and fast but quality is patchy.
