X6/ Haines/ Lanagan on Locus Magazine Recommended Reading List 2009 [February 10] Industry speculative fiction magazine Locus names X6 one of the Recommended Reads for 2009 in the Anthology Section. 'Wives' wins the Aurealis Award [January 10] Paul Haines' chilling near future horror tale, 'Wives', which appears in X6, picked up the Aurealis Horror short story Award at the annual ceremony in Brisbane. Congratulations to Paul and all the other winners. Peter McNamara Convenors' Award for Excellence [January 08] At the Aurealis Awards in Brisbane, coeur de lion author Terry Dowling won the Peter McNamara Award for Excellence for the Tom Rynosseros stories, including the final volume, Rynemonn.
