The Way of The Kresh is the title of my multi-book space opera, which I've been writing for a very long time, although it should be nearing completion in the next year or so. It's an exciting adventure with lots of aliens, other worlds and space battles and hopefully some realistic, though totally alien, characters that readers can identify with and love or despise. I'll be posting semi-regularly on progress and developments with the Kresh on my writing blog, but in this space I'll be posting and adding to the background material and research I'm basing my novels on.

Jeldon is a young traveller from House Cherak, one of the six Kresh familial Houses. The Kresh are 8 feet tall with an exo and endoskeleton. The exoskeleton is a hard chitinous substance broken into a number of body plates. Jeldon is shown here with his hood or 'mantle' engorged. The hood allows the individual Kresh to join with the Communion - the Kresh empathic worldmind. It can also summon energies which will breach any shielded body and melt flesh and bone. The only non-energy weapon which can breach a Kresh exoskeleton is the bolga blade. Jeldon is almost killed when his world is invaded by the Hegemony. |

Son of a Hegemony Fleet admiral, Rhys narrowly avoided court martial for his part in a fatal training flight near Saturn. His father's influence landed him a clerical role in the Hegemony Diplomatic Corps where he quickly provoked the anger of HDC Chair Troels Volmar, a mistake that would propel him into a deadly adventure. | ||
