'...They First Make Mad'

This story appeared in the first Agog! anthology, Agog! Fantastic Fiction (thanks Cat!). I've always loved time travel stories, but thought I couldn't come up with an original idea, until my son, Callum, suggested that backwards time travel would comprise a series of 'bumps' which would make the traveller younger and younger. I still owe Callum half the proceeds of this story.
